Default Question for JetBlue guys

Is there really such thing as a "BlueDart" ????

Apparently, this is something that every pilot at JetBlue gets, just once, and it allows them to give it to an outside pilot. This BlueDart gives a guaranteed interview to anyone meeting the minimums at JetBlue.

True? False?

True, but not every JB pilot gets one. They were randomly distributed and can be used once. A guy I went to school with got one and it helped me get an interview when I met the minimums and applied.

I know a person who was hired there with (maybe) the help of this supposed Blue Dart from a Captain.

True....mostly.

Not every JB pilot has gotten a Blue Dart. As previously stated, the dart is given randomly to a current JB pilot. Once that pilot uses his/her blue dart on a prospective pilot then it is gone forever. No more chances at getting a dart. Basically it is a once in a lifetime guaranteed interview for someone whom you believe would do well at JB.

I've been at JB over 6 years and have never gotten one. Conversely, I've met a JB pilot who got one with less than a year on property.

Guppy, why haven't you gotten one? I would think that being there that long, you would get one? Every JetBlue pilot signs a 5 year deal, correct? I'm surprised you didn't get one the second time you signed up. Musta slipped through the cracks? :P

Maybe they know I'm a union supporter and would only give a blue dart to another union supporter.

I haven't gotten one either, and I am NOT sold on ALPA.

It was meant to be a joke.

There is no reason other than the computer hasn't randomly picked me that I don't have a blue dart to give out.
