I’ll never understand why people make comments like this. It’s a good thing Southwest didn’t say, “We aren’t the big 3 and never will be.” It’s like telling your 4 year old that he isn’t an NFL player and never will be.

I think we do. The only time I have a problem is guys not understanding what JetBlue is. If you live west of the Mississippi this is not a great option. As others had said what is it today. A smallish airline that flys narrow body planes that mainly go north south on the east coast with a current management team that does not really value employees beyond words. As long as you come knowing that I think you will be fine. It’s like going to SWA wondering why you aren’t flying to Europe yet.

It would take an ALK/HA merger and still some major building to equal their route structure but I see no reason what our contracts can’t be right there.

I couldn’t agree more. Most of the early thirty FO’s i know aren’t applying anywhere and most of them where also no voters. I firmly believe contract 2.0 will be far better as most of us ultimately voted yes to have a starting point and a CBA (the FSM just wasn’t cutting it). I still enjoy going to work every day and will continue to work to make this place as great as I can. Even if it’s 1 flight at a time.

I think you misread my post. We deserve the same pay and basic benefits (health, 401k, etc.) but we will never have the same non-rev options. Also, our C-suite management is subpar— but we cannot control that.

FYI. SWA new hires are leaving for the big 3. Because it’s not a legacy style major airline and those people think they can do better at the big 3......
