Hourly rate x 1000 is easy to do in a regular year (not counting per diem and 401k). I worked as little as possible and still did it. Figure 2 months of training pay first year at $2k each plus 10 months of 75 hours x $88 first year and $120 second year. But you’ll likely be a line holder at some point on year 2 and make 85-90 hours a month.
$80k/$120k is prob a conservative number for low effort. I know guys working VDAs who are making a lot more than that though.

What Beat Navy said, but factor in when you start.
Start in June, you’ll make 2 months of training pay at $2K. Once you finish in August, you’ll be at the $88.14 mark. 75 X $88.14 X 5 = $33K plus a bit for M&IE, night over ride, int’l M&IE, etc. Added to what you made prior to June.
Starting 1 May, the first year rate is $88.14, 2nd year 320 is $$119.54 and 2nd year 190 is $98.68. May 2020, 1st year rate is $89.90, 2nd year is $121.92 on the 320, and $100.66 on the 190. As the navy guy said, multiply times 1000 to get a rough estimate.
190 will hold a line and potentially earn more inside 3-4 months. 320 you may be on RSV as long as a year, though those times should be dropping soon due to the 144 slots that have opened since 1 Jan.

The biggest difference I would imagine comes from being a line holder or not. JFK 190 guys seem to get to a line the quickest right now. Once holding a line, you tend to get more credit as well as more days off. Hourly pay is equal on the two airplanes the first year, but holding a line means being able to trade trips and pick up more flying typically.

So i did a brief search and came up empty. I apologize for a somewhat hijack of the way this thread is going. What hours are realistically competitive for getting hired at JB?
I have a litte over:
2000 tt
500turbine all 121
1200 pic
But no 121 pic/tpic
Second time i have applied. I realize i’m probably less qualified than most/all other applicants getting jobs, but how much so?
Anyone hired with relatively low time care to share their times?

TPIC is not a requirement and I had a few classmates that didn’t have any. I personally think it’s good to have.

Thanks alot! I hope some others can also comment and share their times when they were hired.
Just spent the last hour filling out the application online. I figured each time I clicked "next" it would save and move on.
BUT
Apparently not! Clicked "next" again after sorting though the work experience section (took a bit of time since it pulled from the resume but needed a bunch of information fixed) and it timed out and lost all information on the application...
Really?
SO Warning... click "save and finish later" often!!

It is obviously still competitive, and still a desired place to be.
