Anyone know when the current window closes?

It started 01/07/2020 and said it will close in 4 weeks.

Application

Quick question on the application. Where it says certification Im assuming they want your ATP details? Why though is there a box for state issuance if it is issued by the FAA? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Does anyone know if JB slowed down pilot hiring due to the Corona Virus? I understand from a recent article that hiring has decreased for front line and support staff initially. I did complete my audio interview recently and I am waiting for the next step in the hiring process which takes time normally.

Lots of people leave that blank. Fill it out to the best of your ability, or leave it blank if it seems not applicable or redundant.

As of now they are saying they aren’t slowing pilot hiring. But nobody truly knows how long that will last at this point. Right now loads are decent, but April bookings have fallen off a cliff. We can withstand a bad month or two. But we cannot fly empty or even half empty planes forever. If nobody is flying, I cannot imagine classes will continue indefinitely as currently stated. I’d say that’s true for all airline hiring right now...those decisions will likely evolve on a day by day and week by week basis, and I don’t think there is anybody on this board or in our (or any) c suites who truly know how this will play out and affect our industry. We are all along for the ride at this point. Let’s hope everyone starts going on with their lives and flying normally again soon.

Either way there will be an Annual Bid in August with lots of movement (currently International Ops, 220, A/C orders, and CBA requirements. The annual bid is good until Dec 31st of the following year. Supplemental bid favors the pilot in many ways IMHO, its all in the CBA. Its like tying your shoe (the annual bid) and then untying your shoes, taking them off and others trying to fit their foot back into your shoe as well. Might not fit? (the supplemental bid). If you are in place for International flying trained up, have a change of heart and have second chance (supplemental bid) to bid out....You can!

If this coronavirus debacle doesn’t correct itself fast, there is no way they are launching Europe or taking 5 A220s. The airline has to conserve cash to survive. Regardless of how overblown the situation is or is not, the airline can not afford to go spend a lot of money.

And if they do, they are mortgaging our jobs in it.

Would have been nice to have extra hundreds of millions in cash or credit to deal with short term cash flow, but they decided to blow it all on buybacks in a fruitless attempt to juice the share price.

Any idea how tight cash is right now? Will they amp up the refurb line while flying is reduced or is this more dire than we know?

They have to start flying to the gates in England or they lose them.....empty or full; they will fly
