jetBlue Hiring
I think frustration with the situation is running high for everyone. I would much rather be "in the pool" vs lingering in Phase II as I currently am. There is still value in completing phase II and going past the PHC. I have no illusions of getting a call anytime soon but it would just be nice to have that stage complete. In the meantime, I'll focus on the current position I still have and look out for my family. I'm fortunate to have a good position where I am (and hoping that doesn't change). Many others are not as fortunate.

If I'm reading your posts correctly, it seems like you're not even on property yet. Look around you dude, policies are changing daily around the industry. What was current yesterday may not be current info this morning. I highly doubt that moving forward once this all clears up that JB is going to stand by a policy that was created during a booming time in the industry. If you don't like the policies and/or procedures that a future employer (JB in this case) has in place, then I'm sorry to say maybe this place isn't for you, or to look elsewhere since it's entirely you're choice. I'm the last person to be a company cheerleader but you're acting as though they own you something, while many are volunteering for reduce pay or unpaid lines in order to keep the ship afloat.
I get that you and others in class might be frustrated, but most people are just hoping to have a job at this point. If this is your attitude before you even get on property, I'd hate to see you 6 months in.

Reading that post it’s probably best if he does not join up. I wonder what he is like at a busy restaurant.
Hi I’d like to make a reservation for 7pm.....sure no issue. Long line of people waiting without a reservation.
Hi I left late might be 20 mins late......sure no issue. Long line of people waiting.
Gets there at 9pm why tf don’t I have a table.
Of all the dumb things to complain about not being able to push your class date of multiple times is not one of them.

Too soon?
Hopefully it's not too early to revive this discussion (knock on wood). I've read the rumors about possible late summer (August) resumption in hiring but interested hearing it discussed in context with:
1) Competition with many other airlines announcing putting a hiring date on the calendar (some already started) and;
2) How the latest/pending LOA 13 arbitration might affect JB's announcement (if they do plan to hire)
And of course any updated rumors are also welcome!

It's very possible they don't have a concrete plan yet either as they wait for the future bookings to firm up some more.

Have the new hires who got sent home in training last year been called back yet? A JB pilot on my commute the other day told me they were, but I feel like one of these threads would have blown up if that were true.
Nope. Still sitting at home with training pay. Nothing about when they’ll be sent back to training.

I think some may have been involuntarily displaced from 320 to 190 during the last annual bid. Not sure if that triggered some to start training again to backfill since almost half of the 190 JFK FO roster left for the 320.
