How can they be maxed out on Airbus training when there have been few A320 FO openings and minimal Airbus upgrades?

As for the new Bus Sims, not sure the schedule, but I'd bet money on 6-12 months after they are needed.

This is trending toward bluepilots, quickly.

IMHO. We are all Jetblue pilots. Nothing wrong with either fleet.

No but the schedules are so bad that if you commute the difference in pay rate makes an enormous difference that is too great to pass up. The top 15-20% on the 190 fo side aren’t going to go anywhere probably cause they would take a qol hit. So might as well go over to the bus and make 30-35k more.

Agree. Unless you are a 190 guy who lives in BUF and overnights at home all the time.

Will be interesting to see how the cut over to the A220's goes. Might be some good opportunities on either side (190/220) to sit RSV without being used.

B.S. I never said anything disparaging about any individual JB pilot or group of JB pilots in this exchange. Nor did I criticize the E190 aircraft itself. My criticism was completely limited to a contractual pay rate for the E190 and the company's clear strategy to limit movement to the A320.

Nothing more. Sorry this isn't the "JB is amazing" echo chamber you want it to be.

That's correct, low expectations, and an inability to read a contract is held across all fleets.

But mostly BOS.

Easy there.

Firstly, my comments weren't directed at you. Apologize if it came off that way. I simply didn't want the discussion to devolve into a 190 vs 320 pilot ****ing war. We are all JetBlue pilots working toward the same common goals. Regardless of the plane we fly. The fact that JetBlue has turned the 190 (for the moment) into what is essentially an in-house JetBlue express is reprehensible.

Secondly, I'm sorry you think I want this to be a "JetBlue is amazing" echo chamber. Is JetBlue good enough that I haven't quit? Yes. Is Jetblue the greatest thing? Not even close.

I wear my lanyard and and constantly working to improve this place. I'm Frustrated everyday with managements choices. We all are. But I'm not going to say that this is the worst airline in existence. It's not. But it has a long way to go to be a top tier airline.

Sorry for the miscommunication.

Dude don’t fall for BD stuff. (No offense blue) He is smart and knows exactly what you were saying. But he put you right on defense about the “JetBlue is amazing” which you never said. Honestly as he is very good at the argument game.

I do agree about the 190 vs bus BS which amazingly always comes from one side (stick).

Anyway the company has Fd this up.
Most likely thinking they could do it on the cheap and reality just hit them in the face. We all could see it a mile away. As BD said surrounded by well you know.

The best part about it is with all the planes coming being only busses or 220s the next few years the guys on the 190 are going to be getting bus rates and staying on the 190 or the company is going to have to do two training cycles for each new plane comin

Why, exactly, is this a bad thing? That flying needs to get done, and we have JetBlue pilots doing it.
