Consider that taking a job at a major airline could make you even more attractive to AA. Airlines love to hire away from their competition. That 6 year flow, could turn into a 2 year opportunity.
Should the call never come, you're still firmly planted with a solid future at a career major, and not at some regional.
Although if you like meowing on guard, you should certainly stay where you are.

Had a JB captain jumpseating on my flight and said he wouldn't jump from a regional with a flow to jb. Especially a flow to delta. Im like yeah I'm glad we have it but best case I'm looking at 3.5-4 years til my flow number gets called for Delta. Dude said he's been at jb since 2005. That didn't make any sense to me other than are things are bad over there? I too would be a commuter but where I live theres 23 flights a day to NYC.

I agree. The goal of a regional is to get in and get out. I have zero intention of staying til mine. Unless it dips to 2 years..which at the rate the last 2 months we have been losing pilots it might. Then in that case that's on me to figure out and not anyone else. I'm currently filing out an app for blue. I was just curious to why that CA would it said that. I think JB has a lot of upside over the next 5 years. But that's my opinion.

I mean you’re just providing an example of what one person said. You can find a variety of opinions if you ask around, it doesn’t make it gospel. Some will say hold out for Legacy X because we’re the best. Some will say go to Jetblue because working at Legacy X is terrible. Some will say leave the industry all together.
