Sounds like a new pre-warning email. I got phone call out of the blue. Questions:
- Why Jetblue?
- How many hours? Do you have ATP and current Phys?
- Checkride failures?
- Are you available on....?
This was a year ago though.

One pilot from the Feb 25th morning group that I know of. The rest of us are wondering how that happened so fast. Otherwise the Feb 25 group is still holding. We had a significant amount of military. A couple have taken interim jobs with a regional with the intent of leaving if the call comes (probably just out of training). I had the same opportunity (class the first week of March) and given the delays am kicking myself for not doing it. I didn't think it would take this long.
I know the paperwork has cleared Sterling and I have a strong advocate within. My gut vibe is May-June-July. My previous employer of 6yrs suggested I "move along now" once the PRIA requests starting coming so I'm floating the household via savings. Plus, as mentioned in the phase II emails, "it's still not guaranteed." The worst thing for me would be continue to wait and never get the call from the bullpen. I hadn't planned on it initially, but I just fired up apps other places.

The issue is more timing of the classes. The classes drop to one a month from Jun-Aug. Three months would be the May 28 class for me. If that slips for some reason the classes are a month apart after that. My issue is not the timeline as much as the communication. If they said, you'll be in a class on December 24 just hang in there, I could deal with that. So I've got a dilemma - would getting a short term job impact the background check (again) and thus delay it more? What about those in a non-flying gig? Now recency becomes a bigger issue. My situation is unique. Most people would just slog it out at their current employer. I don't have that option. It's not like we're going to starve in a few months but it's no fun burning reserve fuel (although that's what it's there for).

1. The class sizes vary more than you think.
2. People defer, or even refuse to accept a class frequently.
3. It frankly isn't, and shouldn't be, a priority as long as they are running classes.
I was in the "pool" for 13 months. I interviewed in November, and they started communicating with us in March when it was clear that we wouldn't be in class that Spring, Summer, or Fall.
So what kind of communication are you expecting?
