I will happily take your slot if you don't want it! Not sure what you are worried about a senior FO anywhere at regionals is still getting a pay raise with the low B6 first year pay (and the 6k bonus if it's still happening), let alone once 2nd year pays kicks in. Reserve sucks anywhere but I'm sure being the plug at JetBlue beats out being a senior FO at xyz regional as long as you live in base

But we got to make sure we protect our niche which is the customer service. We can't let the culture diluted by inept gate agents or flaming inflights.
I understand those jobs are stressful and don't pay much, but they are the front line. We have too much at risk, and there is plenty nice people out there looking for minimum wages job. Personality in those position is everything for our stability. We are not a network carrier. Our customer chose to fly with us, don't have to.
Next time you see a customer mistreat, report it. Our job is at risk.
(That said, anyone senior to me should get another job, and anyone junior should stay

I get what you're saying, but let's face facts. Being gay has nothing to do with customer service or the lack thereof. Look at Disney for example. I've seen the worst customer service come out of the ghetto-fied FAs and AO agents.....they're straight, not flaming.

I do have to agree that if we don't stop some of the issues we're having with how some of our people are treating our customers we're gonna have problems down the road. That's a screening and a follow up on a supervisors issue. We need to at least not act like we're so desperate for people we'll hire anyone.

You live in JFK? You've got it made. Getting about $1400 on the 8th- first pay period which includes the per diem - and 1200 on the 20th. No medical being taken out. Was at 5% contribution to 401 to get company match. Per diem is variable of course and I've been used for a single leg on day one of five day reserve availability. Yes, a raise for a regional FO (especially for me because JB required me to go to a regional for 200 hrs of recency while I was in phase II- first year at Envoy was about $380 a week). Philosophically, I believe first year should be in the 70 range. But, as pointed out, it's par for the course year one. Left FSI a year ago making just shy of six figures so I'll break even - or likely go ahead- at year three here.

If you live in JFK, you'll be doing alright. Odds are (from what I hear) you'll be reserve for a while on the 320 or the 190. The way things look, you'll likely be off reserve faster on the 320, which is backwards from when I was hired. But, looks like most new hires are going to JFK 320 now, and people behind you on the list is always good.

Living in base opens you up to some pretty unique extra $$$ methods. It's easier for you to grab an RSA or VDA which would pay premium and (I think) junior man pay which is around 190% on TOP of your reserve guarantee IF you want/need the extra cash. Plus living in base is better than commuting no matter which airline you're at.

This comment is so wrong, for the ones of us that want to place to be the final destination, not a stepping stone.

And we do need to report mistreatment. It's our own brand and niche to be at risk.
As far as the gay, I have seen some of the best customer service provided by gays. But I also have seen the entire inflight crew ganging up as divas and giving poor experience in the cabin when there are all only men fa. Whatever social issue that can be.
But I don't care gay straight bisexual. Just treat our customers right.
Or there will be no jetBlue in few years.
We have to start putting pressure on that. Report the wrong doers.

Year two (which starts one day after year one) you will make 90 plus per dime plus 13% in 401k.
This is if you sell the PTO you were complaining about.

Does jetBlue have an employee stock purchase program? If so, what is the general breakdown?

Yes, you can contribute up to 10% of your income. Twice a year they make a purchase at 15% discount on the share price on last day of March/October.

We can buy at 15% discount. There is a cap. I forgot what but is the maximum allowed by FTC.
