You have any verification the calls have gone out for those dates, specifically May 18th? What days were people called for the 18th?

Ok, let me clarify. I have a buddy who is interviewing tomorrow 31 march. I wrote 1 apr above which was incorrect. I know another who is 14 or 15 April interview. The May18th date (which if history serves would actually be the 19th) was a date tossed around at VIB. I don't know if calls have gone out for that day. I doubt it since it's pretty far in the future. The point of my post was to give hope to those guys who are eagerly awaiting an interview. I understand the stress involved with waiting around for the phone to ring... Take what you read on here with a grain of salt. Much of what you read is based on hearsay and rumors. Just trying to do my part! That being said, I've heard there are plans for JetBlue to merge with Eastern Airlines, buy 787's (with a 3 month captain upgrade) and start nonstop service to from JFK to Mogadishu!

I attended WAI and have applied multiple times over the past 4 years with no luck obtaining an interview. Thankfully a friend of mine just obtained a blue dart, so at least I should get an interview soon.
As for rumors, JetBlue/Alaska would be an interesting merger combining the west and east markets, only problem is their aircraft types don't match.

JetBlue and Eastern, LOL! That would be a career ending decision for Robin Hayes.

It would link east and west and best of all give the finger to delta in their own turf JFK.

It's probably the only merger the DOJ would allow at this point.

I have never bought into the different aircraft problem, just look at Delta. There are flights the 737 is good for and there are prefect Airbus/190 flights. I do think jetblue will be merged with someone in the future, I just can't see us small guys being able to beat back the big 4 alone.
