jetBlue Hiring

Good deal if you stick with it. You'll be at JB years before most people have the quals (unless you get lucky and upgrade super fast at a regional). The bad thing is you're completely devoting yourself to JB at a very early point. If you go through the program and decide you don't want to do JB then all you have to show for it is some Cape Air C402 time in your logbook. You'll have to start all over at a jet regional and build TPIC.

Plan on 5-6yrs if hired today. It's just a WAG, but we will have a CBA in the next 2-3 years and I'll bet a lot of guys who are bypassing upgrade will make the jump. It goes so junior now because JFK has such a large percentage of commuters, and being junior 320 JFK RSV means lots of redeyes and crap schedules.

4-5 yes maybe sooner, but there are Captains I know who have left or are leaving to go to legacys and not just the guys with numbers.
Me personally as soon as I get a call I'm out. ( the health insurance policy is scary here amongst other things) I don't think JetBlue will last the next economic downturn. This management team and stockholders will sell everyone down the river at a moments notice.

We are all equally at risk of being sold just as far down the river, at any time, whether at company A or B or C, and to think otherwise is naive.
