go to the crew planning web site. HJB, pilots, to to the bottom middle tab pull down thingy and find crew planning.

find your base and seat and you can start the mental masturbation. You can see the good months and bad months as far as when you may hold a line and when you'll still be 20 away.

Like tom said, the hybrid thing isn't really a good quantifier. You may not even see them some months.

If you want a gauge. I finished ioe in April. May June July reserve. Aug was a move up line, September is a hybrid line, October will be my first hard line. October sched is 18 days off 76 hrs, 2 Saturdays off. I know it won't be like that through the busy months, but in 9 years at a regional, I never even came close to that.

From the newhires I've talked to it sounds like a waste of time. The guys teaching the class have no clue what Reserve is and anything regarding junior schedules. It is a shame since there are some serious QOL benefits to undertstanding the Flica/reserve/bidding process.

Coming from corporate flying I found the class useful for basics (like knowing what PBS is and how Flica kind of works) but I agree on the above statement.. we were taught how to build lines etc. for an hour and then 3 minutes were spent on reserve rules. I spent a lot of time in the FSM on my own and after 5 months of screwing myself, finally have somewhat of an idea whats going on.

Howdy again, gents - looking forward to hearing how today's interviews go.

Question for recent interviewees: JB wants Letter of Recommendation copies to be brought in--can they be scanned/printed copies or do they want actual ORIGINAL signed copies?

Doesn't jb have a new hire mentor program? If not never fear I think the faa is close to mandating it to help new hires with these exact issues.

Well there you have it, JB is better than at least one regional. 😊

Does anyone know the breakdown of base/aircraft for the 9/23 class? And proposed for the 10/7 class?
