Hi!
I am new in the forum. It has probably being mentioned before but does anyone know if pilots coming strictly from Part 135 and with turboprop background being hired at JB? Also, what about current/former employees with proper qualifications will that expedite the process (preferential)?
Thanks.

I think health/dental/vision is effective the beginning of the month after you've been employed for 30 days. I was hired in December, so 30 days of being employed put me in January, and the insurance becsme effective on Feb 1st.

I'm not educated on the intricacies of employee insurance but I can't imagine the 30+day delay is anything more than a cost saving measure.

Default Converting from lcr to scr with no call?

I went to bed last night and checked my schedule - it said long call reserve starting at midnight. I wake up 7 hours later - and my schedule shows me on short call starting at 3am. How can they do this with no notification??? I thought the earliest I could be converted was 14 hours after midnight? Should I "inquire" about this??

They can't, and I'd inquire with your LEC rep. However, be sure you got your assignment from the DRO and not FLICA, at least until the DRO is published. They will show LCR in FLICA If you are eligible for it, until they actually start working the next day assignments. It's not at all uncommon to see LCR in FLICA until then.

^^^^This. The DRO is controlling. Flica at times does not update as it should. Sometime it takes a long time. I have seen an incorrect reserve RAP in Flica, with the DRO showing me doing something else. Doesn't usually happen, but can sometimes.

I don't work at JB but yes....Many guys from my (albeit large) 135 have gone to jb. None of them had any 121 time.

Thanks.

We hire lots of 135 folks. They strive to hire equal parts, regional, 135 and military.

Good Luck!
Do they only run interviews once every couple of months?
