You can zzzzzzzzzzzz me all you want but if you think for one minute that what we do to our new hires is ok, then I'm certainly glad I will counterbalance any say you have at this airline (if you do indeed work here).
I hope your rebuttal is that I took your comment completely wrong!
If you're a new hire, keep slurping up that blue juice, the company brews that like Coors, Bud and Miller brew beer!!

Hi!
I am new in the forum. It has probably being mentioned before but does anyone know if pilots coming strictly from Part 135 and with turboprop background being hired at JB? Also, what about current/former employees with proper qualifications will that expedite the process (preferential)?
Thanks.

I think health/dental/vision is effective the beginning of the month after you've been employed for 30 days. I was hired in December, so 30 days of being employed put me in January, and the insurance becsme effective on Feb 1st.
I'm not educated on the intricacies of employee insurance but I can't imagine the 30+day delay is anything more than a cost saving measure.

I went to bed last night and checked my schedule - it said long call reserve starting at midnight. I wake up 7 hours later - and my schedule shows me on short call starting at 3am. How can they do this with no notification??? I thought the earliest I could be converted was 14 hours after midnight? Should I "inquire" about this??

They can't, and I'd inquire with your LEC rep. However, be sure you got your assignment from the DRO and not FLICA, at least until the DRO is published. They will show LCR in FLICA If you are eligible for it, until they actually start working the next day assignments. It's not at all uncommon to see LCR in FLICA until then.

We hire lots of 135 folks. They strive to hire equal parts, regional, 135 and military.
