Lol. Has nothing to do with my being called. It simply means that they are also hiring people with very little overall experience. This is not a statement about my how I think they should or shouldn't be doing business, just an observation.

If any of us knew the process of selection it'd be a miracle... I've got buddies with 10-12k+ TT and 4-8k worth of TPIC and cant get a call after years and multiple windows... win some lose some. Others have gotten the nod with less than 3-4k total time.

Appears we have a few categories we pull from. Obviously not just "best resumes". Keep in mind, they want you to stay and if they fear you will jump ship once your legacy calls, I'm afraid you have an uphill battle.

Maybe it's something like:
25% Mil
25% Corporate
50% Regional - bulk of pipeline
25% CA / 25% FO

Who knows... but from one of the horses mouths down at the stable. Managment is fearing the shortage.

That's funny cause paying us more fixes the problem! Not a hard equation.

Loads of volunteering.
Job fairs.
One internal.
App review service.
Two check ride failures.

Not a peep.

Are you working on the master's while working for a regional or ACMI? I have been thinking of doing the same, but I don't know whether JetBlue will view me as more competitive than I ought to be, since a legacy carrier could view that as desirable....

Whoever gave u an internal recommendation should contact their base chief pilot and seek help. It works 50% of the time. Besides, it never hurts to ask..

Talk to your base chiefs and ask them for help. It helps.

Your are exactly correct! Not just more, but industry standard with legacies. If JB mgt drops the ball in this CBA, they will park airplanes because the legacies will be snatching up all our pilots. Maybe not the CA's but FOs will have a mass exodus... Should be interesting
