I'm from the 4/12 interview group. I've called GIS twice to inquire and been told they're waiting on PRIA forms from my employer who sent them twice to the email listed on their form. Then I called to see if they got it and they said, "no, that email is for our supervisor". AND???? So they STILL claim they didn't get it and haven't closed me out. Now I have to get my employer to FAX or snail mail it. I can't believe the incompetence of GIS. This has put me weeks behind. Obviously they couldn't care less.

You think that's bad? You should hear what many of us had to deal with when Sterling did the background. Mine took close to 5 months. I had to resubmit the same form 4 times. A former employer called them twice to verify my employment and they claimed they never got the call or the forms (I was there for the 2nd call). Try and relax, it'll get done.

Please make sure you guys fwd these issues up the chain to the company and ALPA once you're on property. Sterling sucked and it sounds like this new company is just as bad.

I am having the same issues except I can't get anyone to answer or return my calls from GIS. I was in the May 10 interview I called and checked the status of my background check they said they couldn't get a hold of anyone of my current company to verify my employment my supervisor did talk and verify so I'm getting two different stories . Also my current airline has not received the pria forms . I have a great relationship with my current airline and they are happy for me that I am able to get on with blue.
I have called GIS and have left messages and no one has returned my phone calls . I'm just trying to get the ball rolling so I'm not sitting for 6 months. Would anyone recommend that maybe I should get a hold of blue and maybe update with them?

What kind of resumes are people getting interviews with? Anyone care to share their hours and quals? I'm at 3700 with 3400 turbine, E170/90 and B777 types with a degree and two career fairs this year, JFK local, lots of volunteer. Can't get a peep (no PIC time). Recruiter at NGPA told me I'm on the "low side of competitive" which I'm sure is true. Just curious what's actually triggering an interview.

recently competitive has been 4500-5000TT. I think we are starting to prefer guys who have TPIC (but it isn't mandatory yet)

2 type ratings and some jet PIC, for what it's worth.
My advice to everyone is keep applying and take every chance you get to meet them face to face. It helps.
Good luck!

4700 TT, 1300 PIC, 500 TPIC for me. I know a couple others with fairly similar quals in phase 2. The job fair seems to be what helps you get really noticed from the rest of the pack.
