I have been able to swap days in the 1st 48 hour window the past two years with maybe one or two denials that were not user error ( like orphan days ). We don’t Have a “hard 2 hour call out”, it is 2:30. If it were a “reasonable” allowance, all the bang-out monkeys would push it to the limit and we’d have a lot more delayed flights than we already do.

Personally I’m quite enjoying our RSV system, especially this past year. The only time CS has put something in JETCRW in over a year it’s been PRL. Haven’t gotten a single call from them.
our experience has been completely different. The guys in my crashpad in different seats and equipment feels exactly the same as me. Hates the rsv system here.

I don’t doubt your personal experience, and at the end of the day, that’s what matters most.

like I said, B/E/S matters a lot. Plus I don’t commute. And I haven’t been assigned a trip since Feb last year. I plan to stay RSV until I retire.

Just curious, how long have you been here? Obviously, last year wasn’t a typical year for reserve usage. Like you said, B/E/S makes a huge difference. So does April vs June.

I’ve had few issues with reserve over the past year and a half since they they fully implemented it. Swapping is near impossible; I’d like to change some of that with the next contract. There are a few contract loopholes that need to be addressed. As a whole, it’s worked well for me at relatively low seniority at 85%-ish in base. To call it horrendous lacks perspective but there are some issues. Pre-COVID I would work around 8-9 days per month in LCR and that is just fine by me.

Exactly. Reserve pilots should not be at a financial disadvantage to lineholders.

C’mon guys. We asked them for all of those things, they just said no so we moved on.

Don’t forget reserves don’t get day off encroachment until 3am. Talk about a scam. Seniority is insignificant, the call out order is ridiculous.
