JetBlue Latest and Greatest
I think the biggest takeaway is the brand loyalty that UA/B6 has. I’ve met people that ONLY fly JB. It’s their airline of choice. BUT if given the opportunity to accumulate points on UA to a destination we service and y’all don’t, it’s a win for the consumer. This keeps them coming back. It works both ways for UA customers too. I think this is a huge win for both companies. Excited to see how this plays out.
These people probably live in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island - but unfortunately these people are not buying enough tickets to keep us profitable.
The other 46 states don’t have enough JetBlue exposure to be anyone’s first choice. Or even put us in the top four.

So...how long until we file bankruptcy? Do we do it this year? Next year? The latest JG email was not encouraging at all. Airline is operating on borrowed money. Reduction in flying and trying to find even more ways to cut costs. Displacements, parking aircraft and "Hope" that demand rebounds. We haven't had a shred of good news in years, and now with us entering peak summer season, we're getting "hope" emails from the boss. As many of us have said, "Shrinking to profitability" has never worked.

TLDR inflation rose 0.1%, rose from +0.2% and we add 139,000 jobs in May.
