They like it, gives them a scapegoat for their shortcomings every quarter. In other news, UA pumped 100Mil into Azul for a minority stake. I’m thinking they want to put pressure on AA by expanded presence in Latin America and JFK, only thing is our financials keep us at a partnership and that’s it.

Every time this type of unexpected event occurs it underscores the deficiencies in the Jetblue network. Either the aircraft are coming from the affected region or going towards it. Imagine the potential if you had a route structure not wholly dependent on two regions.

Agree completely. Joanna and Marty aren’t capable of fixing that part.

These guys couldn't figure out how to open new cities when we were flush with cash and could afford the short term hit.

Now? Not holding my breath.

You all sound like broken records about the “more than 2 regions” crapola. We can barely compete in the regions we do service.

Southwest is trying to rebrand themselves as well and enter the premium space so it could be an option. Frontier/Spirit are already dancing partners, and then there's Breeze, which does nothing for us except give us more 220s.
Breeze gives us a lot more east coast leisure, particularly mid-Atlantic states where we are weaker. Yes we all want it to be UA but I don’t think Breeze is a stretch for a realistic merger partner.

This thought hasn’t escaped me…especially with Neeleman in the picture. I don’t know how many 220’s they have or how it would work, but the scale of a merger could be a possibility. Idk. Everything’s on the table I’m sure

46 active, 1 parked, 5 stored long term….not sure if the one parked is that POS sitting in the pad off T in PVD, because if it is, may as well call it 46 active, 5 stored, and one pile of spare parts
