Don't pick up RSAs man. It doesn't matter what your reason is. If you do, you are scum and care about no one but yourself. You are screwing your fellow pilots over. Don't do it. We need to keep showing the company that we CAN bite the hand that feeds us!
"The hand that feeds us"...? you don't deserve a union
You are not screwing up only your fellow pilots, as you stupidly think.
You are screwing up yourself. But it's too hard for you to understand.

But with proper staffing and pay we could all spend more time at home. For sure, not only when an RSAs that is convenient pops up.
Is that really so hard to understand for you? Wow...
No offense, but you have to be one of the most dense people to post on here! Reading comprehension seems to have flown right by you in school. I'm not even going to try explaining this to you again. I tried to dumb it down as much as possible, but apparently that didn't work.

They only smart thing you've said here is, "Makes sense to stay more home. Sure", and even that isn't correctly worded, but it's understandable. Proper staffing? You do know that we are currently hiring, right? It's not hard for me to understand, or even comprehend this situation, why is it you? (IE, my simple earlier question, not RSA reasoning)

You don't deserve a union?
Were you even here for the ALPA vote? Do you volunteer? Do you ask the captains you fly with if they are doing the trip because of an RSA, how does that go? You need to relax man.
Stop attacking our own pilots.

I'm sure you've flown with guys like that and know how easily it is to tune out after the same old song and dance, especially the guys over-passionate about the one and only topic. Frankly, in my opinion, we have a few more issues to be concerned about over people who pick up RSA's. (Like those jerks who don't wear their lanyard!!!)

As others have said, our union themselves have said the company is (as of the last meeting) negotiating in good faith. Give it a rest.
Yes! Wearing your lanyard will give us a leading cba! I feel bad for the guy that doesn't wear his, and ruins our careers.

So if no one picks up RSA or VDA or open time it forces the company to offer open time at 1.5, I have seen it just once since our new PEA. That forces them to either pay us extra for understaffing or hire more guys. But I am sure it's more effective to all wear our lanyards. That's what really scares management into giving us more compensation.

Insane how someone can not form a proper sentence, yet Jetblue will put them in the cockpit. Are we not hiring educated individuals anymore? Does this particular gentleman speak the way he types? Sometimes I'm embarrassed by pilots, is that bad?

Why the snark on this issue? The MEC (you know, the guys fighting to actually get us that first CBA...) has asked us multiple times to please wear the lanyard as a show of unity for your NC. Is it that stinking hard?
