I have heard that a senior Instructor at JBU recently quit after the company asked the school house guys to create a Restricted ATP syllabus.
Also...in other "news" word is only half of the latest round of 1600 applications met our minimum requirements...the days of 4000+ applications may be over.
Of course all of this is hear say

I'm not doubting this rumor by any means, but I do find it interesting that I have several friends, from regional captains to mil to mil+regional and mil+LCC and some Kalitta type guys who have been trying to get on here for a while and can't. Most are more than qualified. I don't think we are in a dire situation...yet. I don't think it's that far off IF we don't have a good future (i.e. contract). An AA captain I JS'd home with recently just came back from training and management told them they had 450 applications on file from JetBlue pilots. I'd imagine DL has a few more.

Honest question. Did your friends reapply in the latest window?

Some did. A couple didn't because they got hired at legacies. Another didn't because he doesn't want to take a pay cut from his regional job and give up his flow number. One other didn't for various reasons (the commute, pay cut, life events, etc.), but said he might in the next window.
