Same thing happened to me. Fortunately southwest got me home in the jump later that day. A week after that happened, I had the choice of taking the last cabin JS on us to let a DAL guy ride up front...I was tempted to give him the DAL treatment I received. But I told him I would be glad to take the FA jump, but I'd appreciate it if his bros would do the same for me instead of leaving me behind next time. He apologized for the other guy.

How many of you have taken a cabin jumpseat to get another airlines pilot on board for a flight home? I ask because at least two Delta pilots, who saw me in full uniform, refused to take a cabin jumpseat to allow me on board, bumping me from the flight home today. Personally, I have always given up my seat and taken a cabin jumpseat to get another pilot on board (you know, never leave a pilot behind). I won't anymore. What has been your experience lately?

It's not the airline. It's the pilot. But then again, given Delta's HR screw-up the other day with their totally inappropriate comment about the use of their logo by guys just trying to put together a nice packet for their interview, in their case, it probably is the airline.
