Getting ready to send in my application to K4.

Any last minute words of advice?

There's plenty of Great Lakes guys here that did just fine.

Exactly. Right now we have 13 744's and are realistically crewed at a push to 7!!

With hopefully the TA (passing) they will have an influx of applications. The bottle neck is training and OE.

I think we will also see a lot of OT being done too from those that have refrained from doing so during negotiations.

Are things that bad at atlas? I am happy for k4 pilots, but i am sure atlas will get something similar, if not better.

Yes, things are that bad. I never would have thought that people would leave Atlas to go to another ACMI carrier, but Kalitta's contract is so much better than what we have, folks will go.

There simply is no end in sight of the obstructionist attitude of Atlas management. A new contract will likely take a looong time to sign.

8.... any thoughts along those lines should at least wait until we see all the contract language. Yes the rates are nice... and the guarantee is up some... giving actual base pay increases of 58 percent 91 percent after 4 years... and a reduction in days to 16 .... there are said to be scheduling protection changes that we have yet to see.....and there are some other nice provisions...

it will only be a couple more weeks likely.... that said... apply... certainly you wouldnt interview.. etc.. before the language is avail....

Frankly it would be a change in the paradigm over the past year or so... I will say we do have several of our more senior guys that worked at polar/atlas in the past.

I do agree with you on one front.... that is Atlas is likely at least a couple years from a contract... Good luck to all the Atlas pilots...

I am beyond proud of you guys and girls, K4 was my lifeboat during a furlough 2011-14, and I loved my time there, got 2 types, saw the world on a monthly basis, and made some great friendships, I always thought we were the best of the ACMI, this contract codifies it, God bless , you deserve an industry leading contract : )

Any idea how long before a vote and actual contract in place?
