I know sh#t...

Had a short conversation with the ACP about our online app...

Apparently, ADP (the gatekeeper for HR) does not have the ability to allow updates to the application. And, emailing an updated resume to HR is pointless, since if you don't pass ADPs vetting, you cannot get in the interview pool. And, yes, this is f#$ked up. However, at this point, it is what it is.

There is pressure on ADP to alter their electronic application to allow for updates to qualifications. But, since this is a process managed by non-pilots, don't hold your breath.

As with all things airline, this can certainly change at a moment's notice. But, for now, the best advice I can give is to wait until you are well above the minimum qualifications before submitting an application. You will not get a chance to update it until this issue is resolved.

Good luck...

Okay, I know more sh#t...

I reached out to both HR and the ACP. Although there is, in fact, no way to update the online application with ADP, HR can force the update. That way ADP will do the vetting for an interview group with correct information.

The email for updates is [email protected].

Good luck...

Pretty interested getting in kalitta but, need advice. What's the fastest route on getting in with the company? Where do new hire FO's come from? Is regional still the best preperation for kalitta?

Thank you.

How did you come to the conclusion that the regionals "is still the best preparation"? Pilots hired come from all walks. The new interview process is designed to evaluate whether a candidate has basic flying skills, (many do not) knowledge of ATC systems, the ability to learn, and a personality that fits ACMI schedules and operations.

We have had candidates who have stood in the hallway at the training center while a briefing was being held, complaining about their current employer, (not hired). We have had candidates who could not fly an ILS after the flight director was turned off (not hired). We have had candidates who sat in the hotel lobby between day one and two very vocal about things "they read online" negatively impacting K4 And portraying them as facts ( not hired )

Be a normal, professional pilot, who is excited about the opportunity and you will get hired.

Right now they are sticking close to the 5000/1000 hour minimums. With all of the problems updating the resumes it might be better to wait until one is closer to the minimums before applying.

Based on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th hand stories while flying the line at K4, I am very inclined to suggest that you list the last time you were the commander on the Space Shuttle. Apparently flying for another ACMI already typed on 744 and 75/76 isn't enough?
All of us flying the line wonder if we'd get hired today.
Maybe it really is as simple as Maxjet says? I sincerely hope so!
