Training was tough, sometimes frustrating and requires that you work at it.
That being said, I made it through and I'm not too smart. I can from an RJ, and learning the international operations takes a lot of work, understanding foreign controllers takes time. Preparation really becomes more important.
In the end, I'm happier than a pig in poop that I rolled the dice and made it on here.
Its probably not ideal for everyone but I like going home and being left alone for 2 weeks and I like having a plane ticket in hand when its time to go to work and go home.
Moderate skills and effort should be sufficient to get through training. Its not a slaughterhouse but its not a walk over either. Don't be paralyzed by fear of boogie men in the training department.

I was excited to get a call from an ACP this morning. Kinda like a phone prescreen. This pretty standard now? No interview offer but said they were forwarding on my resume to some other people. Not sure if being polite or if that the standard thing.

This is the first I've heard of this. Used to be a phone call from HR asking if you'd like to interview.

The ACP called me last week and after a few questions , she forwarded the resume to HR . After 5 days they invited me to the interview . Which is next week .
Guys , can anyone explain how's the commuting back home on day 16th? Like what time do they send you home?
My understanding is that you fly out on day 0 of 16 , after 5pm, but how about the return?
Im trying to see if this rotation is doable from southamerica since we can jumpseat to the US , thoughts ?
Thanks so much for the info .

Thanks for the info , I agree w all that, I'm planning on getting a house in MIA .. But my question is , on day 16th of the rotation, what time must the company get me home? I understand that on day 0 , the company will fly me out of, let's say MIA, after 5 pm on my last day off... does this apply also for the last day of the rotation too?
Im trying to calculate how many hard days off will I get if I commute from Sa..

The idea is that the company is supposed to have you back in the lower 48 by 19z, and travel commenced to your resident airport by 2359z. Sometimes you get home early. Sometimes on time. Sometimes late. It depends which rotation you're on and what time your last flight blocks in - they've been pretty good to me, and usually (since I live on the east coast) I get rotations that are closer to my home airport.
