any particular reason you Kalitta guys come across as thinking to have even the most remote prayer of passing training, you need to be "God's" gift to aviation????
It's rather obnoxious.

Can you point out some examples from pilots you know to be from K4 that have written this?

The training at K4 is not terribly difficult. It is however... not for the faint of heart either. While the instructors will help you if your attitude is good and you are trying, much of what must be learned is going to come from self study and group study with those in your class. The B747-400 initial program is fairly straight forward if you have prior 747 time (classic or -400) but can be a bit overwhelming for a newhire otherwise. There is very little class room time and system integration time to teach you every thing... they are more of reviews. If someone comes to K4 thinking they are going to be spoon feed the program and given tons of extra FTD/SIM time .... they might be mistaken. IF however they come prepared to learn, study as needed, embrace the training department for what it is... you will do fine. The guys who seem to have the biggest issues are those with attitude issues, and those who haven't been exposed to a lot of FMC/VNAV in their previous flying. Believe me.. the training department has made leaps and bounds forward over the past few years. Its not that bad.

Thanks...
yeah it was just the past few pages seemed to be making is seem absolutely REMARKABLE that someone with Alaska time but not in 747s actually managed to make it through..
I'm sure it's not for the faint of heart and I woudn't expect it to be; I just would hope it's fair.
I'd be coming in from flying the CRJ.. fwiw.
First though, have to actually get an app in!!

Default No more job fair

I just noticed Kalitta is no longer listed on the airline list for the July job fair. Can anyone confirm they are not going to this one either?

I think people need to be more honest on here about the training at Kalitta. If you ask anyone that works here what they don't like about the company, you get one answer: The training department. There are guys out there that act unprofessional in the sim and beat you up left and right. The training is definitely difficult. Mostly because the company really struggles with their manuals and policies. People are too afraid to upgrade here because of those particular individuals in the training department. If the company got rid of the guys that are "out to get you" the ones that have a chip on their shoulder, it wouldn't be so bad. I had great instructors but the guys conducting the rides were a different story.

the easiest way is to probably send it directly to the chief pilots office.
