Too much finger blasting to make the autopilot work. Way easier to hand fly.

Express 31 in lga was more fun anyway.

Makes you wonder that if / when the automation goes to $h1t in bad weather (it won't on a VFR day) what are the chances of a good outcome??!!

I apologize if this has been asked before:

The application website states 1000 pic min required, which I realize probably means 1000 pic min required.

Just curious if it is an actually hard requirement or preferred? Any exceptions for someone with wide body international time?

Thanks.

Any absolute answer would just be an opinion. You can't win if you don't try.... I do know they have a fairly deep stack of resume's at this point... I also know they are trying to be a bit more selective right now. That all said... word is they would like to hire AND train 90 more by the end of the year..... thats a lot of us... should be interesting.

Take the published rate, times sixty four, times twelve, plus ten thousand.

Your first 12 months off training pay.. (training pay ends the day your start OE) should see around 85K including per diem. Thats base....anything credited above 64 hours a month would be and increase.

Will they consider someone without recent line experience but simulator current with previous 121 time including heavy jet? Or would I need to go somewhere else first to get 121 line qualified on something.

Asking questions like this on a web board is kind of silly. The people posting on this board for the most part, have no say, and no particular valid insight, into the hiring practices at Kalitta. Put in an application and find out. If I said "Oh yes, your experience is just what we are looking for", would you then fill out the app? What if I wrote "No, you don't have what they are looking for". If you are interested fill out what has to be the easiest application process in the industry and find out where it goes.
