Where is training located for 74 and 76?

Thanks
Ground school is in YIP. CBT's can be done in YIP or at home. 744 Sim training is mostly in our own simulator in YIP. A second simulator has been bought and is being installed in the training center as I type this. Until its completion some 744 SIM training is done at other locations. I believe we are using MIA at this time.

767 Simulator training is sourced outside the company at this time. I think it is in MIA but probably is subject to change based on availability and demand.

All training is administered by company instructors.

767 Training is done in either ATL, MIA or DEN. In-house instructors, but leased sim time.

We have a second motion, can we get a 3rd? For drinking beer as a measure of a good pilot!

That's way they are arrogant, the skinny jeans are cutting the circulation to their heads.

Few questions if someone can help out...just trying to get some information from here rather than bug the guys during training.

I understand the lines are 16 days long.
i) On the 744, how many days of those 16 days do you actually fly? Is it 8-10 days with few 24-48 hours layovers mixed with few minimum rest, plus some reserve days or does one fly pretty much every day with minimum rest?

ii) How easy is it to jumpseat on your own metal (K4) internationally and on domestic routes?

iii) Can you pick up trips on your vacation?

iv) Does the company apply for India and Chinese visa during training? Or do we have to do that on our own?

v) Are there any benefits like FedEx discount? Car rental discount? Hotel discounts (internationally/domestic)you can get with K4?

vii) Am I correct, that everyone gets a hybrid line each time. Line flying plus reserve days!

Thanks a lot.

After getting my CJO, I only see K4 airplanes everywhere- ANC, DFW, HKG!!

1) it's been very busy lately so don't expect to sit more than 24 hours. Last month I flew 9 of the 16 days, but several of those were multi-day flights (EDDP-VIDP-VHHH).

2) very easy. Just call ops to list.

3) I believe you can sell vacation back, but I've never done it.

4)Chinese yes, India no

5) no

6) pretty much. There are set lines but you'll rarely fly them.

Thanks a lot. Appreciate it Locke. For number 6, without 10-20 schedule changes plus delays it wouldn't feel like you are flying freighter! Btw, when you JS internationally, I am guessing your name is on the GD.

How long is the layover in VIDP generally? That is one hot place to avoid in summer!

They will put you on the GD. We rarely stay over in Delhi anymore. It is mostly double crews through to the next stop. You've missed the hottest part of the year. May till early June it can be in the 110's but soon the monsoon will come and it will only be in the 100's with 90% humidity.
