They actually prohibited them on the range back in 2003. I don’t give a rats aaas anyway but it’s not like there is much reloading expected in a real situation.

But I don’t care. Maybe you’ll get mocked, maybe you won’t. There was a female FAM instructor in my class who loved ragging on the speedloaders. It was actually kinda fun.
Outside each shooting area, it didn’t say “federal weapons training facility.” It said “range #.”

There are no stalls or tables, it's a line on the ground with dirt behind a paper target.
You'd have to be able to use a speedloader with nothing to push against, and just holding it, the mag, and bullets. You prep your mags while standing on the firing line from a fanny pack you poured all your bullets in.
I haven't used one in a long time, you may could press against your hip bone, or hold the mag with your ring and pinkey finger while pressing the speeloader with your thumb.
The training mags have warn springs so the last round isn't that difficult.

Worst that will happen is they bust your nuts for a minute. They will tell you that you can only use it if you can load faster than they do without a speed loader. But I never saw them test anyone. I didn't have one and by the last day I was loading almost as fast as the speed loader guys.

As a former fed and local cop now airline guy, I can’t begin to tell you how ridiculous this conversation sounds about speed loaders.

I shot a hell of a lot more at my 6 months at FLETC, 4 month police academy and the decade and a half of quarterly quals and training than FFDOs do in a week and never saw a single one. There was nobody waiting to bust balls about it because it just wouldn’t be an issue. No one would think to bring one. Man up.

My wife is still an agent and an FI. She had to use an FFDO class as Guinea pigs while she was getting her FI cert. she still laughs about the one guy whose job it was to hand out bandaids to the other students due to slide bites etc. My favorite story is the guy who pinned epaulets to his smurf shirt and made everyone refer to him as Captain. Not. Even. Joking.

Can’t say “man up” to this generation.

I tried to say the same thing, but these kids want to be coddled today.

But I agree. Didn’t think this conversation would devolve into such a level of ridiculousness.

Bullet blisters. If you can’t handle a few you prolly shouldn’t be carrying a gun in the first place...

Pilots get coddled enough during training. Please don't embarrass the profession any more by being that guy/gal that brought a speed loader for 800 measly rounds.
