What a bunch of whiner pilots who can’t see the big picture. Policy of no free snacks…seriously as said before in this thread just force a delay…
Don't fly hungry, go get your food. Once Barry loses his D0 bonus because his pilots are hungry he’ll just stomp, yell, and close another base. Or better yet, when Denver guys see him in the terminal watching head starts just tell him you need a McGriddle before you can leave and tell him to go get one for you to make sure the flight goes on time. He’ll understand, it’s his favorite and he’ll get 4 for himself because he hasn’t eaten in 45 minutes and is starving.
Is the policy disrespectful, yes, did pilots abuse the cart, no. Management is out of touch with what is actually important, but just follow the policy and do what you need to do to make yourself fit to fly. Its that simple.

First off, you do not have to pay for juice, soda, Coffee, etc.
Second, I have yet to have an FA charge me for a bag of peanuts or sleeve of Pringles.
As far as I'm aware, the "Crack down" was about FA's stuffing their overnight bags before going to the hotel. Also, in the usually drift towards outsourcing in the modern economy, the company does not own the inventory, a third-party does.
Third, I've called out sick for three pairings in the last 9 months and have yet to be contacted by management.
Are there issues with the way this company is run, with labor-management relations, with retention and moral? Sure, but snacks and sick calls have little to do with it.

The "crack down" was the having a pilot and FA dead to rights on taking booze. I know they have seen catering disappearing from the ac for years, they had an opportunity to make an example, except they couldn't tell anyone.
