But how do you hang your trousers in the closet for wrinkle protection?

My company manual says harness on at all operations below FL180 so that’s what I do. I can’t come up with a decent excuse to deviate.

A Convair went down last year off the coast of Miami.

The First Officer was wearing his shoulder harness.

The Captain wasn’t.

One survived.

Couple of Kalitta 747 pilots who lost several motors taking off out of bogota. Pretty sure having their shoulder harnesses on saved their lives. Anyone who clicks them off right after (or even before) gear retraction is a dumbass.

I've flown with a few over the years and seen it while on the J/S. Never could figure it out and I sure wasn't gonna ask....
