Seriously....

I was to flabbergasted to even reply.
This is why I run them under the epaulettes. That is what they're there for.

Not new to the business, but not 80 years old either. I just don't plan to stretch 5 years out of the company-purchased "trousers" by carrying a napkin around on 4-days. But do please wear your seatbelts in the hotel vans, nobody wants to go out like that.

nor 80 either, sport. What’s with the attitude? I was simply trying to explain the benefit of the linen, and you feel the need to respond with age insults and insinuate that I must keep pants forever. Tool worthy post on your part, without a doubt.

Same. I did just check, to be sure but no shiny crotch on my trou. I buy good wool blend, dry cleaned they last for many years.

What is the point of that?

Some speculation that there is no insurance coverage during a hotel van accident if you are not wearing a seatbelt. I’ve been in a near death van incident.

Really hard for an insurance company to make that stick. They would need specific written exclusions, and state laws and precedent make it really hard for them to pick and choose with consumer policies. Even DUI related accidents are typically covered. The law does this to ensure the general public and innocent victims are protected. About the only thing that might not be covered typically would be a crash during the getaway from a bank robbery... they have successfully excluded premeditated felonies.

I have heard rumor of worker's comp being excluded for failure to comply with routine safety rules (ie seatbelt). That's more plausible.

After questions about everyone’s wellbeing the follow up is about seatbelts. By every manager involved. They aren’t just curious, it comes down to liability.

Wear them every time.

Would be nice if the belts fit me in the foreign vans.

Actually, it’s stirrups for the FA’s.
