Ran across this one today...

imagine being insecure enough to tie your masculinity to the type of roof a car has.

I'm not singling you out because many commenters have mentioned CASM as an albatross around the neck of some particular airline. What I find interesting about these analyses is the implicit assumption that CASM is a constant. Airline managers have many ways to adjust CASM lower. In fact the large network carriers have more levers to pull than the LCCs do before the nuclear option of bankruptcy.

But as mentioned who is screwed is only a matter of degree. We are all in very serious trouble but there isn't much to be gained agonizing over it. Use these months to save as much as possible and let's hope in a few years there is a decent paying airline pilot job for every qualified pilot who wishes one.

One of the original purposes of the Nordschleife was as a test track for auto manufacturers, and its demanding layout had been traditionally used as a proving ground.

The only production street legal Mazda that I can find that registers a lap time is the Mazda Speed3 at over 8:30 (near the bottom of the list). No MX5 ‘sporty’ car on there. Again, production car....

Give our generation a break. We only had two genders, and you were stuck with the one you were born into.

As for your 100% comment.....most of the time the limitation is the driver, not the road conditions or the vehicle.

Did the corporate management thing for several years and I’m not so sure we’ll ever fully get there. I think a hybrid solution is possible though, depending on your function. There’s no reason John from finance needs to crunch numbers at his cubicle 40 hrs a week, but I’d want him there in person at my weekly status meeting if it was my program. YMMV.

Sounds like you've never done senior management or sales. There's no app for that.

There was a show at Navy Pier years ago. Yugo's as Art. I liked the phone booth Yugo and the piano Yugo. Perfect second lives.

Thats like saying you're insecure with your masculinity if you don't want to wear a dress. A minicooper isn't a masculine car.
