737 headset?

That's why I like my 18" roller on two day trips. I can put it on its side and then put my flight bag on top. That works pretty well if trying to get additional jumpseater bags in the cockpit. Probably can't do that with my regular bag though.

Agreed. I did exactly this (Telex 850 to PF2) when I went from the Bus to the 737. It took maybe one or two trips to get used to the Proflight 2, then I was good to go forever. I was downgraded because of the pandemic, so I went back to the Bus, but I still use the Proflight.

Just need to find something for at least one of the 2 included clips to hang on to. One clip is between the plugs and the amp, the other clip is between the amp and the headset. In the 737 it clips to the sunshade rail, dunno what other planes might have as a convenient spot. Hanging there isn't awful and you can clip the cord to your epaulet to keep it from whipping you in the face, but just hanging there would wear out the cables and plugs a lot faster.

I'm not positing anything that hasn't already been covered, but the Bose A20 has been excellent in this cockpit for me. Haven't noticed any hot mike irregularities, and with active noise cancelling on am surprised at how low I keep the headset/comm panel volume selectors.
Occasionally for a 1 leg and DH trip I'll carry my Telex 750 for bag space purposes, but even with the volumes turned way up the ambient noise level is very high.

Telex Airman 8 XLR For Sale.
I have a Telex Airman 8 headset (XLR-5) Airbus for sale. Only used a three times. I was between two headsets and decided on the other. Unfortunately I ordered the headset back in April when flying dropped off. The seller won’t take it back. $410.00 OBO. email me at [email protected]. Thanks

Been using my Telex 850 ANR ever since I got on the 737 in 2010... zero issues and best of all, no batteries needed. Plenty of active noise reduction without spending $1k on a fancy headset. I did order a soft top from Oregon Aero for more comfort.

What? I can't hear you! Can you speak a little more loudly?
