I wonder if they have heard of the Cooper Vane, for example?
There used to be a 727 show up every year for the annual skydiving convention. They’d remove the aft air stairs so the cooper vane was useless and line the stairwell with panels so people didn’t snag their equipment on the way out.

I flew a J32 out of Quincy in 1999 at the end of the show. We had 19 passengers, 15 were jumpers. And a family of 4, mom, dad, two kids. The gate agents had briefed the jumpers to wear their parachutes on the plane so it wouldn’t count as a bag and make us overweight. I briefed our exit row jumpers that they were not allowed to get out when we were over St. Louis, they’d have to wait until we land. And the dad asked if his family should have parachutes too.
