yep gold with Bonvoy is essentially worthless. And getting to plat is TOUGH. They've really tightened things

For the love of Lorenzo, please don’t go into the lounges in your uniforms. Put on your jeans and new balances but don’t go in there on all your sits and inhale the food buffet. You’ll ruin it for all of us.

Priority pass already has a disclaimer that airline crews on business travel aren’t allowed, probably because of this.

Get a marriot business and personal credit card. Get 30 nights credit a year just from that.

This reminds me of a promotion Seaworld had awhile back. For a small amount you could get free meals on your visits for a year so one dude who lived close to the park got a annual pass and ate there everyday.

Just an additional note—some hotels offer airline rates for commuting crew members, like the Crown Plaza Airport in PHX. After my last stay, I noticed I wasn’t getting stay credits. It turns out there are discounted rates that give stay credits, and others that don’t. My rate would have been $15 more in order to get the credit. Be sure to ask when booking your room.

That use to be me, I would average about $1,000+ cash back from Costco / Citi. I later figured out that same spending that I was doing with the Costco Citi, I can get multiple Business class tickets that's worth $10K+ from Chase or Amex. If I go the cash back route, it would be at lest 2 times higher than Costco.
