Default 73 - Bus Headset

Hi guys,

Will be heading to the 'bus or 737 soon and looking for input on a good headset to buy. I am currently deciding between the Proflight 2 and clarity aloft, but am looking for input from those with experience on type and open to other suggestions. Thanks much!

I'm currently using the Proflite 2 in the737. I like it, but took some time to get used to it after using a Telex 5x5 pro with ear mold for the last 5+ years. The one thing I've found is that unless you have intercom, you will probably only use one of the earbuds

Where I work though, everyone uses the intercom on the 737

Then I believe you will enjoy the Bose. The bluetooth is a nice feature to have as well. worth the extra $

I love the ProFlight. If you end up on the bus make sure you get the 5-pin XLR plug connector so you can use ship’s power for the ANR. Not carrying around batteries on trips has been amazing.

Clarity aloft pro… awesome clarity (no pun) and really feels like wearing pair of sunglasses… no clamping or ear pain.

I like those too, except when the ear buds unscrew and come off in my ear canal, or when the wires short.

Cqheadset.com has a similar headset for a fraction of the price but with sound tubes as opposed to wires. I love mine.
