Submit apps as soon as you meet the mins. You can always make up your mind if you have multiple offers.

This. Don't wait to send apps to other legacy airlines while you build time for FedEx.

If I was fortunate enough to get an offer from UAL or DAL prior to meeting the mins for FDX, then it seems to me that FDX would be off the table for good, seeing as I wouldn’t be able to continue building TPIC at a legacy anytime soon. I’m currently short on TPIC for FDX. That’s why I was thinking it might be wise to wait 6 months to a year. But maybe that’s bad thinking?

Who says a person will ever get an offer from FedEx? I wouldn't pass up a legacy and fast seniority movement right now.

Also do you need any turbine PIC? On the min qualifications page it says 500, but on the next page the min qualification questionnaire it only says "Do you have at least 1500 hours total fixed-wing time as PIC or SIC in multi-engine turbo-prop or jet A/C or combination thereof." Doesn't say you need 500 PIC.

1. You have no guarantee of a job at FedEx. Giving up epic amounts of seniority at UAL or DAL for a chance at FedEx is not wise.
2. FedEx will likely have to drop the TPIC requirement this year anyway.
3. Waiting things out for a FedEx job at UAL/DAL will be much better.

You need 500 TPIC in a an multi-turbine aircraft weighing more than 12,500lbs (there are some exceptions such as F16) in order to actually submit the app without lying.

Default DAL positive space?

Doesn’t Delta now offer positive space commuting? Would that be the equivalent of double DH for FedEx?

I’m an outsider looking in, I appreciate the thread and perspectives!

Any single-engine mil jet should be good, F-16, F-35, AV-8B. Not sure about SE prop trainers/COIN aircraft... I don't think they counted that in the past

I think that is part of their Covid agreement.

Not really the same. That would be commuting on your own time at Delta but a guaranteed way to get to work. At FedEx that commute is a paid day and a guaranteed way to work.

They do, unless I'm interpreting this incorrectly. From their requirements and FAQ pages:

1000 hours PIC in jet aircraft is preferred; multi-engine turbo-prop aircraft, 12,500 pounds or greater; certain single engine turbo-prop aircraft, or combination thereof. A minimum of 500 hours PIC as described is required.

Q14: Does FedEx consider any single engine turbo-prop aircraft weight-equivalent to multi-engine turbo-prop aircraft, 12.5k lbs. or heavier?

A14: Yes, the T-6 Texan II and Pilatus PC-12 are considered weight-equivalent aircraft to meet the minimum requirements. Pilots of these aircraft, exclusive of other experience, may count this time.
