drop about 10k off the cost of that accord and you are right. Can you pay 40k for an accord? Absolutely. But they don’t start there.

Again, why does the OP NEED/REQUIRE that specific $110K number?

Sell your F150 and buy a 1998 Honda Civic.

Take a home equity loan, personal loan, family loan, etc.

Cancel cable. Cut costs. Stop eating fast food and cook at home.

It’s just for one year. You won’t lose $110K, just the difference. So what, $20K loss? You will get it back.

Just think—you don’t need to fork out $10K for the type like 7000 current SWA pilots did.

$26,520 according to the Honda website. Add tax, license, and dealer prep and I could see it being around $30,000 but certainly not $40,000.

Never in my life have I spent more than $5000 for any car. Always paid cash. Take care of them and drive them into the ground.

Cars are utilities, nothing more, unless you can afford better.

"It's really expensive to be poor" is true enough though. People making $30k/yr can't afford a cash car for $5k and get sucked into 7+ year loans for USED cars. Which they can't afford to take care of. It's a vicious cycle.

Good luck finding a car that runs for $5k.

And how much will that $5k car cost you when you break down and can't make it to work?
