Look, usaid was bypassing proper governance and it's getting stopped lawfully. These government slush funds need to be stopped at usaid, fema, hhs, dod, and so on.

It certainly looks like usaid was used to create covid 19, if so, those people need to be prosecuted for the death of millions.

This is all very very good.
no, bypassing proper governance procedures is not very good. nor is the push for impoundment. it’s extremely bad.

Both the Senate and House of Representatives are populated with spineless life forms. At least, for the dog and pony show, they would be requested, lets say, using proper governance, to deliver bills to be signed and enacted.

Just as a general aside which I’ve been musing about. Regardless of what kind of policies we agree or disagree with, I think it’s important to point out, someone like Elon Musk lives in an entirely different universe than you. Billionaires do not share the same priorities as regular people like you, a GS-11, or the guy working at Shake Shack in the airport.

The idea that he understands the plight of the common man and is finally making tough choices to benefit all of us is absurd.

Like someone else pointed out, you’re not going to be some free citizen when the government is a shell of itself, you’re just going to be at the mercy of corporate America, armed with thousands of lawyers on million dollar a year retainers putting their boot on you when a Space X rocket lands on your house because Elon doesn’t have to listen to the FAA anymore.

Just my HMO, interesting discussion though.

It was a tongue in cheek remark. The fealty amongst the House and Senate is sickening.

Kind of like Student Loan forgiveness to buy votes? Also how is governing the Executive Branch bypassing Congress? I didn’t realize Congress runs the Executive Branch.

yeah, that should have gone through congress. I don’t recall ever supporting it, though, so i am not sure who that’s pointed at.

Fraud, Waste, Abuse, and Mismanagement. Here is where your taxpayer money has been going:

•$20 million for a Sesame Street show in Iraq

•$1.5 million to "advance diversity equity and inclusion in Serbia's workplaces and business communities"

•$70,000 for production of a "DEI musical" in Ireland

•$2.5 million for electric vehicles for Vietnam

•$47,000 for a "transgender opera" in Colombia

•$32,000 for a "transgender comic book" in Peru

•$2 million for sex changes and "LGBT activism" in Guatemala

•$6 million to fund tourism in Egypt

•Hundreds of thousands of dollars for a non-profit linked to designated terrorist organizations— even AFTER an inspector general launched an investigation

•Millions to EcoHealth Alliance— which was involved in research at the Wuhan lab

•Hundreds of thousands of meals that went to al Qaeda-affiliated fighters in Syria

•Funding to print "personalized" contraceptives birth control devices in developing countries

•Hundreds of millions of dollars to fund "irrigation canals, farming equipment, and even fertilizer used to support the unprecedented poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan," benefiting the Taliban

...And Ukrainian President Zelenskyy claims he’s only received $75 billion out of the US-approved $177 billion (Current administration audit currently in progress).
