Ha! Can totally relate, although being Italian for me a Cappuccino in the morning is non-negotiable.

I also remember that I started at the airlines with a vow to never drink airplane coffee, and that lasted just short of 2 years before I caved. I still tried to avoid it when possible but resigned to the fact that sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. Hopefully it really does keep your immune system strong as the old crusty Captains say.

I prefer it over any hotel coffee. Airplane coffee is for gentlemen.

It’s an acquired taste. I don’t miss it when I’m not on a trip, but I don’t shy away from it. It’s for gentlemen who want to build character and a strong immune system. More of a Teddy Roosevelt and less of Martin Van Buren type drink.

Ship coffee and ship headsets. Makes your immune system strong!

Yeah, coffee is way too hot and acidic for anything to be alive in there (well, not everything but close enough for me). No effect on your immune system. Now that ship headset? For what it’s worth, I don't shy away from either.

Now that coffee in the hotel room? That's terrible. I think they've figuered out how to make it so bad your willing get dressed and go downstairs and spend $5+ for a cup.

I've never had an "issue".

I just don't like the way it tastes. I recall DAL had some decent onboard coffee for a hot minute a few years back.

anyone who owns an rv knows not to drink the potable water. everyone carries bottled for a reason. why that would be different on an airplane is beyond me.

nevermind that the coffe is irredeemably awful tasting
