ALPA and the news and everyone else is lying again. Everything is going as planned. Send more money.

They shamelessly cast aside their most senior members, who have paid the most dues, covered pilots’ health insurance premiums during furloughs, took pay cuts to prevent furloughs during COVID, and endured loss of pension, bankruptcies, strikes, etc., and [did the heavy lifting during the challenging decades.
They actually said the quiet part out loud. They’ve earned it.

What does any of the above have to do with their so-called effort to “do the right thing“? Shameless is right.

Sounds like they need a healthy dose of that "suck it up, buttercup", "life's not fair, deal with it" and "nobody cares, work harder" they love to dish out.

Friendly reminder: don't go around rubbing the unfairness of life in other people's faces and then through a hissy fit when the unlubed Weiner of Unfairness finds you. If you want empathy, you gotta show a little too every once in a while.

There were several LEPF advocates during COVID who said "you aren't a real airline pilot unless you have been furloughed" and advocated against our LOAs because there wasn't enough in it for them.

Considering what they’ve been pushing and how they’ve been pushing, I believe it.

Yes, whole bunch of them wanted to furlough and create 1000s of training cycles rather than fly a reduced schedule for a few months and enjoy a little time with family. These people seem wired differently. Life for them isn’t about community, doing what’s best for the team, or safety, it’s about acquiring more “stuff” for themselves no matter the cost to others. It’s called, looking for happiness where it cannot be found.

This update includes:

IATA is fully committed to see the age raised, and LEPF is in step with them, as well.

1- We are a labor union, why are you making arguments on management’s behalf?

Let Experienced Pilots Fly
The irony of LEPF raising the unionism flag while making statements that they are “in step” with a lobbyist group that represents management.

Funny how some of the loudest voices out there advocating for junior to pay their dues never even got furloughed...

And yeah OO did that during COVID. A handful of super senior guys were against taking the reduced lines but the pilot group had no problem flaming and shaming them to oblivion. Most of all got put on reserve on reduced our lines. I basically got to sit at home paid and only came in to fly every 60ish days for currency. As soon as flying started coming back, most pilots were ready to go and everyone got to keep their jobs. I'm just a lowly line pilot but it seemed pretty brilliant to me.

I am thoroughly enjoying how each update from the geezers becomes increasingly unhinged and detached from reality

Yet those very union members that today enjoy the fruit of the most senior members’ labor, are too quick to cast aside those that provided them with today’s riches. APA and ALPA leadership are also quick to divide the membership on this issue, in spite of their chants “We are stronger together”.
Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. Thanks for all that cash 🤑🤑🤑. Your labor? 😂 Thanks line pilot.
