False equivalency. 9/11 wasn’t by Saudi Arabia or any other nation-state.

That sounds like a reason not to let Iran have nukes. If Iran has no intentions of having any nukes, have no capability of producing nukes ..... why would it be a sticking point for them to allow inspections, no enrichment to HEU and unfettered access for inspectors?

Maybe because they want Nukes?

This far in to the conflict.... gird your loins and support finishing the job with the SOH blockade. Can Americans stomach 6 months of $4.5 gas prices(call it an xtra 2% to inflation) or, can Iran last longer with 70%+ inflation and permanent damage to their production due to capping of the wells? The conclusion to this dilemma portends future geopolitical consequences. Folks can hate Orange Man.... but at this juncture, it would be best for Americans to all row together to see it thru. The dems can have their impeachment process after the midterms.

Seems like the liberal posters are looking backwards attempting to place blame. Why not look forward to finish it, then have your inquests.

So, where do we go from here? Walk away, incite violence, perpetuate divisiveness? Plenty of time for that later. Lack of support now only lengthens the time to a conclusion.....well ,unless you just want to walk away(which is what Dem leadership wants just so they have a cudgel for election purposes).

You talk like we can literally do anything and it’s just a matter of some nebulous sense of societal will to do it. Iran is a mountainous country of 90 million people on the other side of the world. As if we always have some trillion dollar military “easy button” that we can smash as long as we’re all on board with it and everything will work out great.

‘Cause there isn’t a clear path to “finishing it”. The best definition of anything resembling an endgame we’ve gotten is an ornery blond press secretary snapping back at the press something to the effect of “it’ll be over when the president, in his infinite wisdom, decides it’s so”. You may feel differently, but I don’t find that approach exactly confidence inspiring. At this point, “finishing it” could mean anything from cutting a deal tomorrow that keeps the hardliners in power to another forever war that lasts decades and doesn’t accomplish much, if anything more. We’ve been told wars have been won or will be finished soon in the very recent past, only to have them drag on for years on end. How many months or years are you willing to let this one run before you have the epiphany that the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze after all?

And 15 / 19 hijackers were Saudis. Rest Jordan, Egypt, UAE. Weird. The top 4 US “allies” in the ME. Zero from Iran or Iraq.

Mortal enemies. Been that way since Moses. Israel is too small to survive a strike. There will be no next holocaust. Trust me on that.

You have a country. You just got bombed by Israel and the United States. Are you really going to tell me you wouldn’t want nuke now? Or more like, you want them now more than ever? Or maybe we’ll try what we did in Ukraine. You don’t need nukes, don’t worry, we got your back if anyone tries anything against you. Yeah, because that’s turned out so well for them since 2022.

As for the second part, a US intelligence analysis concluded that Tehran could withstand a naval blockade for months.

Good luck getting Americans on board for months!

I still domt get it. Here you are, asking for Americans to give the govt some more “months” to carry this through (whatever THIS is).

Yet, we attacked because Israel was going to attack anyway and we had to save ourselves from the Iranian counter attack on our bases. Um, ok? That part is over. What part of blockading continuation have anything to do with Israel attacking anymore?

Yet, we attacked because we were under imminent threat. Um, ok? That part is over. Fordow, Natant, and whatever that 3rd place were obliterated. And more obliteration since Feb 28. It is clear and obvious we are not under any imminent threat anymore.

So. Your words, for Americans. “To see it through.”

To see just what, exactly, through?

To answer your question, yes you walk away. And tell Israel no further attacks. We have set Iran back 10-20+ yrs from weaponization of nukes. Consider this whole excercise as buying 10-20+ yrs of a guarantee.

Hang the mission accomplished banner and move on.

Heck, the bigger nuke in this country is social security will be broke far before 20 yrs and yet Americans and politicians have zero desire to fix that ticking time bomb. Somehow we got so concerned on Iran in 2025 and 2026, that it was literally a non-mentioned issue in 2024. Weird how that worked out.

So economic impact…. What do you think MONTHS of a blockade is going to do for oil and the airlines in this country? (Let alone poorer 2nd and 3rd world countries).

That might be your best post ever. You should take your own advice and consider a username change. I am sure AA would be appreciative. ;)
