I've heard alot of people talking smack about this thing called a "preferential bidding system". What exactly is PBS, how does it differ from previous systems, and how exactly does it always screw over pilots?

doesn't honor seniority. ask for a specific day off and it can deny you and give those days off to 20 people junior to you. can't bid between a line and reserve. (one or the other) 19 days of work in a row, possible. trips built on the front and back side of vacation. very very little open time. just to name a few...
