How long have you been working in the Industry?
How many Airlines have YOU worked for?
How many mergers have you been through?
How many Furloughs?
How many Contract negotiations?

Walked a picket line?
Paid dues to Those that Have?

My point, if you even remember what it was, has nothing to do with anything you're saying.

You actually have no idea what my point even is, you're just attacking me because I don't agree with you.

But like I said, feel free to try make this personal. No reason to attack the argument when you can attack the person.

Redeye,as usual I am confused! What part of one seats argument makes him wrong:

The fact that he may have been Air Force or the fact that he may be junior to you? How does one spell non-sequitor? Member in good standing ought to be enough.

I would have had more sympathy for the US Air guys if they would have dumped ALPA after the pension vanished then after they lose to an arbitrator.

Redeye:

I've been around long enough to remember this post:

Anything else you want to add?

Why doesn't military experience count? Are you saying that a military serevice and the experience/training are not relevant?

Why does the NUMBER of airlines you've worked for matter? Is more better? If so, why?

Walked a picket line?!?! Am I to believe this is how you stand up for what you believe in? How about deployments, combat missions, air medals, DFC's? Why not ask, "How many times have you put you hiney on the line over enemy territory?" Have you "Paid dues to those who have?"

Personally, I think "Some AF guy who is a new hire and has all of 6-12 months in the Airline industry" has done WAY! WAY! WAY! WAY! more for the country--and thus "the industry'--than a 35 year Captain.

Yes. You hit a nerve. You both owe him an apology.

Really? Please explain how a 35-year airline captain has done "more for his country" than a military, combat veteran.
