I just got back from Moscow today...

Just to clarify we do have some Pegasus but most are not. We had none on either leg and one leg had no satcom. Mapshifts are common in Russia as there are few VORs. They recently put a second VOR near Moscow so the FMS update when you get within about 25 miles. We back everything up with NDBs.

Russia also operates under QFE we recently change our proceedures to use QNH, it works much better.

Incidently I had two Delta hew hires with me. They'd been on the the line a couple of months and did an outstanding job.

Thanks Sully.

I am still awaiting IOE (just finished 75/76 training) but all of our check airmen are so busy flying the line due to the shortage, that I am sitting around at home getting paid for a nice 77hr month! can't complain.

That said, I was just curious as to how our 767s differ from yours. Other than the electric seats (you bastards! ) I think they are pretty similar. Sure would be nice to have a curtained-off crew rest seat - or even a bunk, for that matter. I believe we get the first two Business Class seats on the right, 2H/2J but no curtains.

I think only our Pegasus birds have satcom and CPDLC, the rest are the old 200K FMCs.

See ya in NYC.

I would gladly trade our electric seats for your 77 hr month right now. I am also waiting for my IOE but I am just getting training pay of $2750 till OE is finished.

Yo Satchip, I feel (felt) your pain brother. First year pay at AA as a 727 F/E was 2000/month SALARY!!! DAL is actually one of the higher paying airlines for first year.

not all of our jets have electric seats. The best are the new ones, the hybrid seats that we have on a few of our jets. They also happen to be the jets we have the condo in as well.

We have few Pegasus. Seems as though we only spend money on pilot toys when we absolutely have to. SATCOM and FMC reporting is the only thing I really care about on crossings though.

Our flat panel/pegasus upgrades are apparently on hold as well until we are one with NWA.

For 1982 technology, though, it works decently.

Well, aren't IRUs/IRS gonna be deactivated in 2010, and replaced by GPS? If so, everyone will be Pegasus by then.

So instead of ramping up the recalls to protect the routes, they simply cancel int'l flights and cut the lines. As a result, I went from holding a Europe line in Feb to reserve in March. All this while our direct NYC competition - DAL and CAL - announce increased int'l flying this summer. Boy do we have geniuses running this place. I hope they get very well rewarded with PUP bonuses in April.

Actually , the 3% reduction could be attributed to February being a 31 day month(in AA bid package) and March a 30 day month.
I agree with you though, it blows that AA is determined not to grow while everybody else is starting new routes.

200k still miles better than the LTN-72, but at least they all had power seats!

Heard they'll be wearing Kalitta colors soon. Did SAI even paint them?

You are clearly smarter than I am. Dunno. I know we send our ER's to HK for heavy mtce and they get pegasus while they are there (i think). Soooo, maybe that is our plan?
