Curious they knew where to find the pilot who led the recently failed recall effort. Methinks some sour grapes being fed to the press by a sore loser.

Based solely on results, Moaks my man for now. Until I feel he's not best representing my interest, he can smoke Cubans with whomever he wants. Keep your enemies closer.
Don't have a dog in this fight. But when I was based in LGA during 2001, I remember seeing A LOT of the flyers/phamplets whatever sent out by DAL's MEC regarding how the negotiations were going that were left lying about in that small area underneath the terminal. One of the tag lines I remember seeing frequently was "UAL + X%". Can't remember the exact amount.

So, while you are throwing stones at a UAL pilot from up on your high horse, can you remind me what laid many of the foundations for YOUR contract?

Yep, ALPA untiy at it's finest. What's the middle letter in the word unIon?

OR, it could put NW pilots in a position where they are forced accept something that could be less than "fair and equitable" to them. Not just talking about the pay, but the protections of "merger policy" that pertain to career progressions and seniority protection.

I disagree. Nwa pilots can go through the entire process which includes arbitration if they so desire. That is what they wanted, right? But, IF they can come to terms sooner, then perhaps they can share in some riches. Nothing "forced" upon them.

You're taking my post out of context. It was in direct response to a UAL guy criticizing our MEC Chairman as being ineffective and to cozy with management. My statement, albeit admittedly combative, was meant to illustrate the effectiveness of Moak's actions as opposed to that of the current UAL ALPA leadership he seemed to hold in higher esteem. To be fair we aren't dealing with Tilton so a direct comparison is somewhat unfair.

I wish the UAL guys all the best and nothing would make me happier than being in the position of demanding "UAL +%" at some point in the future. (once they have a sweet contract again of course)
