I haven't heard much about what NK's been up to since I got my pinky. Right before the furloughs started there was talk of cutting some destinations like LAX and ISP and maybe picking up more stuff down South. Did any of that ever happen? or have they just cut back the ops tempo?
FLL-LAS
I've heard is going away this fall.... real soon. Someone tried booking tickets on NK's web site in Nov. for one of those aforementioned routes and could not do so?
Latest "rumors" are: some recalls in Nov????? who knows......?
Code share with Grey Hound, the "do it Doggy-style sale" kicks this partnership off
Hustler in all seat backs with "wet wipes" costing $1.00.
I would like to hear how the ALPA Vs. NK is progressing?
Furlough guys are you ready to come back?

Spirit Airlines Flies From Long Island MacArthur, Blames Fuel Costs

Spirit Airlines has quietly closed its operations at Long Island MacArthur Airport - only three months after Islip officials partied its arrival with grass skirts and fruity drinks - because of skyrocketing fuel costs.
The discount carrier last May began offering two daily flights from MacArthur to its Fort Lauderdale, Fla. hub, with one-way fares as low as $87. But after initial success, fuel costs cut into the profit, according to Spirit spokeswoman Misty Pinson.

MacArthur Airport Commissioner Teresa Rizzuto said that Long Island's 2.7 million people will never go without commercial air service to key cities because the airlines can't ignore such a powerful economic market. But the names of some of the carriers are going to continue to change at MacArthur, Rizzuto said, as the airline industry is reinventing itself.
"Fuel costs, airport hubs, strategic marketing alliances, labor agreements, and the age of aircraft are all playing a role in determining when and where airlines will operate," Rizzuto said.
Spirit still flies to Florida from LaGuardia Airport for about $150 a round trip. Pinson said the airline would like to return to Long Island when economic conditions improve.

Just read PO's bullet points, and he mentions this....
"Furlough Update: Possible juice on the horizon. Stand by while I gather facts."
Im not exactly sure what it means but it could be good news for some of us!

Just curious if any of the furloughed folks out there got passed info through NK for positions overseas with other carriers? And if so who with and how did it affect your status with NK?

I'm not sure what affect you would be refering to but as far as I know, Tiger hasn't taken anyone from Spirit.
