A new 747 start-up: Cargo 360
#141
I met a "360" guy at the medical office today. He was a retired Delta pilot. He seemed pretty happy with the schedule and flying. At his stage in life the pay is really to supplement his early retirement and may not be as important as someone just trying to build a nest egg. Anyway, he said they are hiring "like gangbusters." I think he said they are getting 2 -400s pretty soon also.
Looks like this could be a decent place for some of the more experienced pilots out there. Skyhigh, are you game?

With the industry the way it is right now, i think 2 years is nothing to shed tears over, considering you're still gaining some useful heavy int'l time. But then, it depends if it is a move up or a lateral move for you. So your mileage may vary.

Question on the health insurance (I think it was asked on the previous 15 pages but not really addressed
) : I read that you must maintain a WA address for the insurance? How does that work exactly if you choose not to live in WA? Will they be adopting a more national heathcare plan? Are you limited to Docs/Facilities in SEA. I'm a family man with a wife and kids getting ready to transition from the military to the "outside" world and healthcare is of course a high priority.
Also, is there an average trip length? What type of schedules are you guys (New hires there) seeing?
Definately interested in gaining some addition info on this company in addition to what's already been posted. Those in the "know" should also feel free to email or PM me.
Thanks

Anyone have any updates on this company, especially from new hires, on how things are going? I posted some questions previous to this and haven't gotten any responses... Is the company, pay, scheduling and benefits working out? Good place to try for an interview or not?
