We are taking delivery of a few more E190's early next year, increasing the hours by 2500 a month, that should create about 40 vacancies on the aircraft by Feb.

OAK is a satellite base off of LGB. LGB is a base for the A320 only. Basically you must be based in LGB and can bid for trips that start and end in OAK. LGB is quite senior as are the OAK trips. I think there are enough OAK trips to have the equivalent of 10 crews "based" there. I have no idea of how this is working out for JB. If it doesn't work out, JB could pull the plug and everyone flying OAK trips will now revert back to LGB.
Last year a buddy of mine who lives out west and is a captain for a regional airline asked about the base and if he should put in his application. Knowing that he didn't want to commute to the east coast to go to work and figuring that he'd get the E190, I advised against him applying. It would be just too much time away from his family along with a hefty paycut.
I believe that we have a pool to go into the next class. Question is how many will actually come to class? With that being said, it is difficult to determine when JB will interview again. Hopefully soon.

Thats a lot of good information, thank you! I was curious about how senior LGB was so thats good to know. Is it correct that all new hires get a seat lock for 2 years, and most likely they will be in the E190? Thanks for all the good info, Im a west coast guy but I would relocate for a while to eventually get back to California. Thanks again!
