Question about AA pilot bases
#11
Depends on the bid packet that month.. For instance 767/ORD/D may only have 757 flying for the month.. If that makes sense.. However it may show up later in a sequence. For instance no 767s originate out of STL, however some sequences may have a leg on the 767-200 or -300 later in the sequence.
Hope I didn't confuse you.

. Let me try a different appraoch. None of those domiciles list the 757 specifically, thats why I assumed it was included with the 767. Do any bases include the 757 specifically?

... I understand your question now. The answer would be "no"...Cheers

That seems quite strange to me considering AA flies so many of the type. So, to clarify...all 75-67 flying is categorized under the "767" title and then you may be assigned either 75 or 76 flying once you get your line?

Tinpusher, you cracked the code. The "767" bid status includes both aircraft, but in the name of simplification the status is only referred to as 767. For example, I believe CAL calls it the 756 bid category.
p.s AAflyer... you beat me to these posts. Don't you have anything better to do than surf the boards?

Edit: Actually just read the recall thread. My mother always told me to think before I speak. I guess I should have taken her advice

I think it has to do with the fact that, as long as we have furloughed pilots who are displaced from a certain bid status (STL in this case), they cannot change the name of that bid status. I believe once everyone is recalled, they can probably retire the SLT moniker and revert it to STL.
